On Sunday it was announced that the price of petrol has been reduced to N87 per litre as opposed to the old pump price of N97 per litre. Correspondents of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) who monitored the petroleum supply situation in Sokoto on Monday and Tuesday reported that the commodity was being sold for between N97 and N110 per litre. It was also observed that the situation was the same at most of the major and independent petroleum marketers’ filling stations. NAN also observed that the NNPC mega stations on Gusau Road, like several others located in the town, were closed. Ibrahim Musa, a petrol attendant at Mobile filling station, told NAN “we are yet to receive new supplies of the product based on the new pump price’’.   I wonder why I and you can not tell the truth now when both of us are suffering from the sickness of falsehood and open abuse of rule of law. I wonder why I and you can not refuse to falsify figures now since both of us know that doing so especially to inflate prices and realistic quotations that many people have sold their conscience to money and getting it by all means has made many to kill. I wonder why I and you can not speak out when projects are not executed well when both of us know that money have been voted for such projects and is not utilized appropriately. My wonder is a long list but let us pause here to show the extent to which wonder can not solve the problem but agreeing to act appropriately is the solution.  Former president of  Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo launched his controversial autobiography 'My Watch' today Dec. 9th at the Lagos Country Club, Ikeja. Atiku Abubakar, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili and many other dignitaries were at the launch. Divided into three volumes and containing 58 chapters and 1,522 pages in all, the tell-all book reads like Obasanjo’s responses to all the people who have dared to criticise him in the past as well as those he believed wronged him politically, most of whom he described in unflattering terms. VH1 Hit the Floor star and dancer Stephanie Moseley was shot dead at her home last night by her husband, rapper Earl Hayes, who then turned the gun on himself. Earl, who is a member of boxer Floyd Mayweather’s Money Team. Earl was said to have been haunted by Stephanie's infidelity and recently accused her of cheating with singer Trey Songs.   Neighbors of the couple called the police after they heard gun shots from the couple's LA home and heard Stephanie screaming. When police got there, they found the bodies of Stephanie and Earl. And there even reports that Floyd witnessed the murder via Facetime. While Former DG of NTA and chairman of Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce won the PDP Bayelsa East Senatorial District during the primaries that held yesterday December 7th.
