Makeup Tips: How to Contour Your Face in 3 Steps
We may not all be blessed with bone structure like Joan Smalls, but
that doesn't mean we can't fake it with a little bronzer. Here, CK One
Color global makeup artist Kayleen McAdams shows us how to get chiseled
cheekbones in three simple steps.
STEP ONE: Use an angled brush to apply a matte bronzer
into the hollows of your cheeks. Make a fish face to get the right
positioning and locate the area you should fill in. Swipe the bronzer in
the sucked in area underneath your cheekbones from just above the outer
corner of your mouth to the very top of your ear and into the hairline
so you can't see the point where the contour begins. Make sure not to go
above this point higher into your face, to ensure you avoid the apple
of your cheek completely.
STEP TWO: Use the same brush and apply the bronzer to the outer corner of your forehead and along your jaw line to emphasize (or fake) a chiseled bone structure.
STEP THREE: Use your fingers to apply a cream highlighter to the very top of your cheekbone and up around the edge of your eye. Use a tapping motion to press the product into the skin. This highlights the highest point of your cheekbone and further emphasizes your bone structure.
