Female Suicide Bomber Attacks Federal College of Education in Niger State





A suspected female suicide bomber has killed herself in a failed attempt on students of Federal College of Education, Kontagora in Niger State.

Details of the incident, which occured on Wednesday afternoon are still sketchy, but a student of the college, who pleaded anonymity, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone that the female suicide bomber was instantly killed while another student sustained injury.

The Police spokesman in the state, ASP Ibrahim Gambari, confirmed the incident but said they were yet to get full details of the incident.
“We shall get to you when we get full details”,  he told NAN

Naira now 241 against US$1

  The naira hit another record low of N241 against the dollar at the parallel market on Monday as the Central Bank of Nigeria’s restrictions on foreign exchange sale fuelled unofficial trade in dollars, Reuters reported. Financial experts say the ban placed by CBN on importers from accessing Nigerian foreign exchange markets for the importation of 41 items has led to the volatility of the Naira-Dollar exchange rate at the black market.
