Ebola: 2 new cases found in Liberia

A resurgence of Ebola in the last week in Liberia, which had been declared free of the disease, may have be linked with a survivor still carrying the virus, according to scientists who analyzed the genetic sequence of the virus from the body of a 17-year-old Liberian boy who died of Ebola last week.

Dr. Francis Kateh said the number of Ebola cases in Liberia has now risen to five, including the 17-year-old teen who died of the disease on June 28, abc reports.

He said 120 people have been quarantined, and that 14 who are considered active "high risk" contacts are being monitored.
