Gov. Ayo Fayose: Ekiti state didnot recieve any bail out


The Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele  Fayose yesterday stated unequivocally that Ekiti State was not done any favor by the Federal Government from the recent funds released to States. He said the money paid was the legitimate share of Ekiti State from the Federation Account.

He also said that provision had already being made to pay workers salary from that allocation.

Bailout or not, i feel that every State in Nigeria needs to find a utilitarian means of self sustenance.

Naira now 241 against US$1

  The naira hit another record low of N241 against the dollar at the parallel market on Monday as the Central Bank of Nigeria’s restrictions on foreign exchange sale fuelled unofficial trade in dollars, Reuters reported. Financial experts say the ban placed by CBN on importers from accessing Nigerian foreign exchange markets for the importation of 41 items has led to the volatility of the Naira-Dollar exchange rate at the black market.
